I know the use of a boxing ring for MMA is not ideal! But I love it because it is easy to see the fighters.

As fans however lets be honest the cage, be it the UFC design or Todd Mecham's design or someones square design, makes it hard to see the action! 

Even that new high tech cage they use in Japan is not very good because while they opened up the mesh the huge padded corners still block the view and I heard the mesh is cutting people.

I can't believe that somewhere in the United States there isn't an out of work aerospace engineer who can develop a "cage" that can be lowered and secured onto the floor without 4, 5, 6, or 8 huge corners in the way of the action! 

Something completely mobile, easy to assemble and just mesh with solid top and bottom frames, made from say carbon fiber, so the mesh is completely open.

Since the UFC has all the money I am putting out the request for Dana, (once he heals up from his deviated septum surgery) to do two things for the sport:

1. Put up a $1MM prize to sponsor a competition to come up with a new open design for a cage that meets the requirments I have listed or something like it.

2. Allow all sanctioned MMA events to use it.  What is good for the sport is good for the UFC.

Boy, I am not far from Vegas I hope Dana doesn't get pissed off and come to L.A. and kick my ass.
